This “hooker” may be “new in town,” but the team behind this bi-level midtown drinking house is certainly no virgin to the New York bar scene. The owners of popular destination, Fiddlesticks, have created a sleeker uptown cousin—and this time, size does matter. It’s a 10,000 square feet space that has two floors, two bars, two pool tables, a full restaurant menu, some 120 beer selections, and a 12-foot HD projection screen. While the crowd is mostly of the male variety, ladies should take note if they like suited bankers and media moguls. Oh yeah, and it turns out a “hooker” in Ireland is actually a dirt-carrying boat. Bummer.

This is a great venue. I stopped in for Thursday night happy hour and was very impressed. The place is super spacious, with a long bar down the center, and booths along the wall if you want to come in and eat. I would definitely classify it as a sports bar, with multiple flat screens from front to back. Pool tables, dart boards and couches adorn the back section, and are a great way to kick back with friends after a hard day of work. There is also a huge upstairs if you want to come in with a large group. Overall, my happy hour was, well... quite happy. :) -Janine, Manhattan
The testosterone is certainly pumping in here but it's not a misinterpretation of the bar's name that keeps the boys coming. Clocking in at 10,000 square feet and spanning two large floors, this traditional Irish megapub offers over 120 varieties of bottled beer, two pool tables, a 12-foot HD projection screen and a full menu featuring traditional UK classics like bangers and mash.
